I  ordered my car in October of 1997 and it was delivered in November of 1997. I researched this car for sometime, I looked at the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, Chevrolet Cavalier, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Honda Prelude, Eagle Talon, and Acura Integra. I wanted a car that was Fast, good on gas,  looked great  and would not kill my cash flow. I really liked the Trans Am but the gas would have killed me, same with the camaro, the mustang was just plain to slow and it was a FORD, the Prelude and Integra were to small for me ( I'm 6'2"), and the Eagle Talon was not being imported to Canada anymore. So I bought the best car for the money, and it was fast and looked increadably cool, and it is very good on gas. After owning the car for about 8 months I wanted the car to be even better and faster than it came from the factory, so I looked to the aftermarket.

The first thing I bought for my car was the RKsport Cold Air Intake, which is worth about 7-10 hp and it probably eliminated a few pounds from the car.

The second thing was the Strut brace that GM puts on the convertibles, what it does is strengthen the struts, to prevent body flex. I really didn't notice that much difference, but any stiffness to the suspension is good.

The next was the brakes, well because the brakes on these cars leave something to be desired, and I have always wished the car came with rear disk brakes. I have only completed the rear brakes as of now and will be doing the front ones when they need to be replaced. For the brakes they are 12" rear disk brakes (that's corvette brakes people !) The brakes were supplied by Baer racing.

Next was the exhaust, it came in the form of Dynomax UltraFlo stainless steel dual exiting exhaust with the stock pipes to keep the torque curve low. Definatly a great sounding exhaust and it looks good and will last longer than my car.

Updated  I was unhappy at how the factory exhaust didn't flow evenly to the tips, so I decided to have a custom 2.25" cat-back built for me, It's much louder and it flows evenly to the tips. All of the system is 100% stainless steel and will last as long as the original factory exhaust.   p.s. There is  sound files of this setup in my "MULTIMEDIA" section.

Updated I polished my IDI cover to a crome look and it looks awsome, this is a cheap mod, but one that takes along time.

Updated Well next was someting that I didn't realy want to add, but I needed to so that I could order the large front disk brakes from Baer. The large 13" brakes will not fit behind the stock 16" wheels, so I was looking at only 17" wheels, and found some that I liked after a long search, but I lost the stock sleeper look  that I was after.

Updated Well with the 17" wheels I needed some rubber, so I went with a new tire made by Dunlope.

Updated Installed Unorthodox Racing Pulley, felt a little more power, the car seemed to want to launch a little faster, low end grunt was improved... Also the car seemed to have a higher shift point ( I can take 2nd gear upto 85-90 kmh ) I use to finish the quarter in fourth, but now I only go into 3rd.
